HYAUNDAI BURLEIGH PRO PRESS CONFERENCE

One of my more corporate shoots took place in Burleigh, specifically 'Burleigh pavilion'. Where I met some big faces in the surfing industry such as Molly Picklum and Morgan Cibilic.
A simple shoot at heart, but with the broadcast pressure on my shoulders, as I was working with a media agency for this, I had strict turnaround times. The media agency was called Mad Panda Media and I was working directly with Jason Sintome (Founder)
This shoot taught me lots, despite this I shot it and edited it within the brief times and everything went to plan, im forever grateful for Jason giving me this opportunity
9:30AM...
Arrive at location, Burleigh Pavilion, to be greeted by a gorgeous day. The light was on my side too, with the sun behind me my exposures was on point making the stop process that little bit easier
9:35AM
After some greetings and instagram stories filmed, me and Jason got the space cleared for all the advertising backdrops and most of all organisation for when each interviewee came into their time slots.
9:45AM
Unpack, plug in, turn on, test
Once my camera looked like this, I was ready to go, was just a case of eating for my time slots!
10AM
Get some warm up interviews rolling, trying to get slots inbweteen all the other filmers for multiple platforms such as broadcast, socials and BTS
PS - this was a makeshift tripod as I forgot mine on the day...
10:30AM
Rolling!
First on the panel was Molly Picklum, who gave insight onto her personal approaches to this event and how this may vary between other surfers
1pm
A 45m car drive and 3 hours on set later, I came back to the home of @MadPandaMedia
Jason left me to my own devices with a max 1 hour time limit to go through this footage
This was a challenge for sure!
1;15pm
After a drinks fuel up, I had most the footage edited it was just a case of chopping and cutting for broadcast purposes!
2pm
I did it, the footage was done, airdropped off to Jason and I was a free man!
I had an uber to get back to my room and the rest of the day to relax!
